Common myths about roulette

Common myths about roulette

Roulette is currently one of the most popular games in the industry. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that even a beginner can easily outplay an experienced player. On the one hand this is an advantage, but on the other hand – a drawback. A beginner will only need a couple of minutes to understand the basic rules. But it is the simplicity that gives rise to many recommendations regarding gameplay. And today, there are some of the most common, one might say unhelpful, myths about the game.

The Martingale strategy greatly increases the chances of winning

The idea is that the player needs to bet on one field, either black or red. And the number can be anything. The bet has to be doubled after losing.

Thus, it is possible not only at some point to get back what you lost, but also to be in the black.

But here there is a but.  There is no sequence in roulette, everything is based on a random number generator.  That is, there is no guarantee that after a series of 10 reds, 11 will be black. So it may take a lot more spins to get a payout, and that’s all the waste.

You only need to bet on hot or cold numbers

Here, the player divides all numbers conventionally into hot and cold numbers. The latter include those that have not yet fallen out. Well, hot numbers are those that appear frequently.

And here the player bets on the cold ones and thinks it will fall out soon, while the other player chooses the hot numbers. There is a belief that roulette remembers successful numbers, but this is not true.

It doesn’t work for the same reason as in the previous situation. Here, everything falls out completely by chance, and no factors will affect it. But the probability of a certain number not falling out once is quite high, and the player will simply lose money.

Myths and Mysteries of Roulette

It is necessary to cover half of the gaming table with bets

It is necessary to calculate the number of cells in the game and divide the number by 2. In this case, 0 does not have to be taken into account if the number comes out odd. After that you have to bet until 50% of the table is covered. For example, if there are 38 cells, you have to take 19. And here they say to go in a circle instead of jumping around the table chaotically.

But again, the MSG takes its toll. You can just go full circle and lose everything, because the numbers won’t fall out.  Everything works completely randomly. It works only at 35x odds, and the player guesses in the first 15 spins.

Unbalanced roulette

A gambler in the 20th century suggested that the mechanisms that are made for roulette differ from each other.  And if the defect is detected, you can guess which numbers fall out more often than others.

This method goes by the name of Jagger. But you have to realise that there are no roulette defects, but you have to watch the croupier. If he makes strange movements at certain moments, it’s very likely he’s tampering with the results.

Anyway, roulette has been calibrated since the last century, so there can be no defects and this method is not effective.

You can’t win much

It’s impossible to break a big score in the game, so it’s just like entertainment.

But actually the size of the winnings depends on luck and the size of the bet. It is possible to multiply your profits 35-36 times, and you need to know the rules to do so.

The most you can lie is if you guess a particular number.
